Abstract. The growing population of the planet has led to the penetration of high technologies into agriculture. In the modern conditions of digital transformation of the agricultural sector of the economy, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) play an increasingly significant role in increasing the efficiency of the agro-industrial complex. Active introduction of UAVs into agriculture will significantly increase labor productivity while reducing production costs. The purpose is to study patent activity in the field of agricultural unmanned aerial vehicle production, as well as to identify key trends in technological development, identify leaders and promising areas of innovation. Methods. The methodological basis of the study was a combination of the following scientific methods: analytical, monographic, graphical, statistical data processing, systems approach, method of analogies, comparative and expert assessments. Results. The study allowed us to identify the main areas of patenting in the field of agricultural UAVs, showed that there is a steady growth in patent activity in the field of UAVs worldwide, while Russia is among the top five world leaders in the number of patents for UAVs, but there is significant potential for further development in the agricultural drones segment. To improve the competitiveness of domestic developments, further state support for innovation, the development of regional competence centers and stimulation of patent activity are necessary. Scientific novelty. The main factors influencing patent activity in the field of agrodrones are identified and recommendations are proposed to stimulate innovative development of this area in the context of the regional economy.
