Abstract. In intensive dairy farming, high-yielding cows are exposed to chronic metabolic stress, which is accompanied by a decrease in immune resistance, the development of subclinical metabolic disorders, and a reduction in productive longevity. In this regard, the search for safe and effective feed additives of natural origin that can optimize the physiological status of animals is a pressing issue. Scientific novelty. For the first time, a comparative study is being conducted on the effect of betulin and its combination with the supplement “AL KARAL” on the blood parameters of dairy cows. The aim of the work is to study the effect of betulin and its combination with the supplement “AL KARAL” (a complex of humic acids) on hematological parameters and leukogram of lactating cows. Research methods. Hemoglobin (g/L), erythrocytes (×10¹²/L), leukocytes (×10⁹/L), ESR (mm/h), and the leukocyte count were determined in blood samples. The experimental data were analyzed using variation statistics to determine the significance of differences between the compared parameters, using the Student’s t-test. Results. The most pronounced effect of feed additives was observed in Group 2, which received a combination of additives: a 22.2 % increase in hemoglobin (from 108.0 to 132.0 g/L) and a 31.7 % increase in red blood cells (from 5.56 to 7.32 × 10¹²/L), while a 23.7 % decrease in white blood cells was observed, indicating stimulation of erythropoiesis and a reduction in inflammatory processes. The use of betulin and the “AL KARAL” supplement is not accompanied by signs of bone marrow hematopoiesis stress, which indicates the safety of these supplements when used in recommended dosages.
