Abstract. The purpose is to evaluate the impact of the complex use of probiotic feed additives, including microorganisms of the genus Enterococcus and crushed synthetic zeolite of the NaX type, on metabolic processes, morphological and functional changes in organs and tissues, as well as adaptive reactions of broiler chickens of the Smena-9 cross to external and internal factors. Methods. As part of a scientific laboratory study, an assessment of the dynamics of the live weight of the bird over the reference period was carried out. The degree of digestibility of nutrients in the feed was also determined. At the beginning and at the end of the reference period, morphological and biochemical blood parameters were analyzed in broiler chickens, as well as the antioxidant status and parameters of nonspecific immunity were studied to assess the overall health and physiological parameters of the body. Results. The study demonstrated that broilers treated with E. faecium RCAM05160 and zeolite had a higher body weight and high livestock safety. By the fifth week, the experimental group outperformed the control group by 9.38 % in weight, and safety was 98 %. The digestibility of nutrients has also increased: dry matter – by 4.82 %, protein – by 1.88 %, lipids and fiber – by 2.9 %, nitrogen-free extractives – by 2.39 %. The blood test showed an improvement in morphological and biochemical parameters: erythrocytes – by 27.57 %, hemoglobin – by 6.65 %, leukocytes – by 14.86 %. A biochemical test confirmed the stability of metabolism, and the nonspecific resistance of the body increased. Slaughter characteristics have also improved: live weight – by 9.63 %, the mass of the gutted carcass – by 14.23 %, and the mass of edible parts – by 16.5 %. Scientific novelty. An in-depth assessment of the physiological and biological status of broiler chickens of the Smena-9 cross was carried out against the background of the introduction of E. faecium RCAM05160 and zeolite Nax into the diet. Practical significance. This method allows you to increase the live weight of broiler chickens, increase the safety of livestock, improve the use of feed nutrients, and increase the yield of edible parts of the carcass.
