Abstract. Minerals provide all the vital functions of the body. Therefore, understanding the needs of cattle in these elements is extremely important to ensure normal growth and maintenance of vital functions, which ultimately contributes to the disclosure of their maximum productive potential. The purpose of this study is to summarize scientific data on the importance and options for enriching the diets of cattle in the meat sector with micro- and macronutrients used to enhance productive qualities and improve the general state of animal health. Methods. The paper analyzes the research of domestic and foreign scientists on the effect of deficiency or excess of macroand microelements in the diets of beef cattle on the course of physiological processes and obtaining maximum productivity. Internet resources were used: RSCI (https://www.elibrary.ru), PubMed (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm. nih.gov), also google.com service. Results. In the proposed review, thanks to a systematic data analysis, we can talk about the deep interest of researchers around the world in studying the micronutrient needs of beef cattle. It should also be noted that minerals in various forms can act as an analogue to synthetic antibiotic drugs, which is undoubtedly an urgent problem of all modern science. The scientific novelty. The analysis is based on the latest international research in the field of beef cattle feeding. The issues of balancing diets according to critically important nutrients in order to increase productivity and strengthen the body’s natural resistance to infectious threats are considered.
