Abstract. In the context of a rapidly growing economic complexity, agro-industrial regions require a special approach to managing social processes, taking into account the specifics of agro-industrial production and agricultural infrastructure. The paper examines the specific conditions for the development of the social sphere; analyzes the key challenges and problems faced by agro-industrial regions, which necessitates taking into account development trends in this area and developing additional regulatory measures. The authors pay special attention to issues of staffing, financial planning in the social sphere, the specifics of management decisions aimed at improving the quality of life of the population, ensuring the sustainable development of these territories and maintaining social well-being in the context of the region’s agricultural specialization. The objective of the study is to identify management features and trends in the development of the social sphere in agro-industrial regions. Methods. Content analysis of monitoring materials of the state programming system in agro-industrial regions in the social sphere; statistical analysis of spatio-temporal data to identify key trends in the development of social processes. Scientific novelty. The study identifies the specific features of effective social management in agro-industrial regions, emphasizing the need to consider local conditions, continuously monitor, and evaluate the effectiveness of state support programs. Results. It has been proven that high-quality social management contributes to improving living standards, minimizing unemployment, ensuring sustainable employment, increasing wages, improving well-being, and stimulating labor force participation in agro-industrial regions. The article will be useful to specialists in the field of social state and municipal management, as well as to managers of agro-industrial organizations interested in the sustainable development of agro-industrial regions.
