Abstract. Agricultural development is becoming increasingly important as it impacts national food security. The purpose of the article is to analyze the spatial development of agriculture in the region, its production potential, and localization of production to optimize the placement of agricultural productions and ensure sustainable growth. Methods and methodology. Methods of economic-mathematical and statistical analysis were used. The paper presents a comprehensive methodology for assessing the effectiveness of the location of agricultural production in the region, which takes into account the characteristics and development potential of the territory. Includes an analysis of the development of municipalities, features of the localization of production in the region, and an assessment of the influence of the main factors on the performance indicators of the development of the agricultural industry. The object of the study is the agriculture of municipalities of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Agriculture is the leading industry in the region and has uneven development. The scientific novelty. The spatial aspects of the development of agricultural production in the Republic of Bashkortostan are presented. This is based on the grouping of municipalities according to the level and dynamics of agricultural development. Covers the analysis of production potential, specialization and localization of production and takes into account factors of production location and distribution of production resources. Results. A cartographic profile of the spatial development of agriculture in the Republic of Bashkortostan has been constructed. The proposed approach will allow optimizing the location of agricultural production and objectively assessing the degree of unused advantages of individual territories. Develop state policy measures to support agricultural production.
