Abstract. The purpose is to search for genome-wide associations and polymorphisms in genes to determine the QTL associated with the component composition of the milk of Belarusian red cattle cows in order to create genetic panels of the most significant loci, which can be used to select the most promising producers. Methods. The research was carried out in the conditions of the gene pool herd of red Belarusian cattle from November 2022 to December 2024. The component composition of 715 milk samples was studied. 129 cows were genotyped and had a complete description of the phenotypic parameters of the milk components. The main research methods were: infrared spectrometry and genome-wide association. Results. The average daily milk yield of red Belarusian dairy cattle was 25.9 kg of milk with a high fat content of 4.69 % (Cv = 24.6 %). The total protein content was also at a fairly high level of 3.63 % (Cv = 10.6 %). The lactose content in milk was the most stable indicator – 4.89 % (Cv = 5.5 %). On the VTA1 chromosome, common clusters were identified for MJ, MDB, SOMO, dry matter and casein; on VTA4 – for MJ and dry matter; on VTA5 – for lactose and SOMO; on VTA7 – for daily milk yield and dry matter; on VTA9 – for daily milk yield, MDB, SOMO, dry matter and casein; for VTA10 – for MJ, lactose and somatic cells; for VTA12 – for MDB, SOMO and casein; for VTA20 – for SOMO and somatic cells; for VTA22 – for daily milk yield and lactose; for VTA23 – for MJ and dry matter. Based on the results of the analysis 6 highly reliable associations with polymorphisms in the CTNND2, MYO5A, BMP2K, KCTD8, and EBF1 genes were identified. Scientific novelty. The analysis of genome-wide associations (GWAS) of selected traits of dairy productivity of cows of red Belarusian cattle helps to identify new genetic markers not previously identified associated with the traits of dairy productivity of gene pool cattle of the Republic of Belarus.
