Abstract. The purpose is study the conditions and factors that influenced the formation of the spring rapeseed market in the Kemerovo region in 2020–2024 and the predominance of companies promoting foreign varieties and hybrids in the market. Methods. The analysis of the place of the Kemerovo region among the regions of the Siberian Federal District in terms of gross production of spring rapeseed and sowing area in 2020–2024, in terms of the number of cultivated varieties and the market share occupied by Russian and foreign varieties and hybrids of spring rapeseed was carried out; an analysis of the share of zoned Russian and foreign varieties of spring rapeseed cultivated in the region was carried out; an analysis of the dynamics of sales volumes in the market of varieties and hybrids of Russian and foreign production was carried out, the structure of the foreign segment of the spring rapeseed seed market in the Kemerovo region was presented by countries of origin of seed lots. Results. The reasons for the predominance of foreign varieties and hybrids in the spring rapeseed seed market in the Kemerovo region for the period under study have been identified and substantiated, the reasons for the high level of entrepreneurial activity of foreign companies in the regional market have been analyzed, and the most probable scenarios for the development of the regional spring rapeseed seed market in the Kemerovo region under the influence of external and internal factors have been substantiated. The scientific novelty lies in the study and substantiation of the reasons for the orientation of the regional spring rapeseed seed market of the Kemerovo region (the only one in the Siberian Federal District) to foreign varieties and hybrids, as well as further scenarios for the development of the regional market in the context of ensuring food security and sustainable development of oilseed crop production in the region.
