Abstract. The purpose of this study is to conduct a theoretical and methodological analysis and assess the main parameters and trends in the development of digital diversification as one of the current areas for improving the management of the regional agro-industrial complex. Methods. The study used program-target, trend, factor and structural-functional methods of economic analysis. Scientific novelty of the study lies in the substantiation of the need to develop a special methodology for assessing the level of digital diversification in the field of management of regional agro-industrial complex enterprises, as well as in disclosing the essence of digital diversification, its nature and dynamics. Results. The study identified and analyzed the content of the digital diversification process in the management of regional agro-industrial complex enterprises. The main characteristics and features of the development of digital diversification of the management of agro-industrial complex enterprises in the Ural region are highlighted. Theoretical and methodological issues of further scientific development of the methodology and techniques of digital diversification in the management system of agro-industrial complex enterprises are revealed. In particular, digital risks arising in the process of digitalization of the enterprise management system are identified and characterized. The position that the effect of digital diversification in the activities of agro-industrial complex enterprises can be successfully used to combat risks is substantiated. The expediency of using project and matrix approaches in the analysis and assessment of digital diversification in the management of regional agro-industrial complex enterprises is substantiated. Trends in the diversification of modern digital management technologies are revealed. The practical significance of the study is due to the need for more active development of digital diversification in the management of regional agro-industrial complex enterprises as a means of increasing their efficiency and competitiveness.
