Abstract. Bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is the most important agricultural crop in the world and one of the economically valuable traits in its breeding is drought resistance. Transcription factors, the expression level of which most often increases under stress, play an important role in the regulation of drought resistance. Scientific novelty. A study of perspective Bashkir bread wheat lines identified the drought-resistant L43851 line, characterized by relatively high yields in the arid Southern Trans-Urals. The purpose of this study was to analyze the expression level of the TaNAC69, TaDREB1 and TaMYB33 genes under drought for screening drought-resistant breeding lines of spring bread wheat of the Bashkir Research Institute of Agriculture, Ufa Federal Research Center of the RAS. Methods. The expression level was analyzed by quantitative real-time RT-PCR in leaves under normal and drought conditions in seven breeding lines and the Ulyanovskaya 105 variety of spring bread wheat. Results. Increased expression of TaNAC69, TaDREB1 and TaMYB33 genes under drought stress was found in the L43851 line and the Ulyanovskaya 105 variety, and a relatively higher yield under drought conditions was also found for the L43851 line. By determining the leaf width and relative water content in the leaves (RWC) under drought, it was shown that these two accessions of bread wheat are characterized by increased drought resistance. Thus, determining the expression profile of TaNAC69, TaDREB1 and TaMYB33 genes under drought can be used as one of the diagnostic features of drought resistance.
