Abstract. The purpose is to improve the effectiveness of the treatment method for cows suffering from milk fever. Methods. The studies were conducted on Holstein-Friesian cows on farms in the Krasnodar region. The condition of farm animals was determined by clinical and laboratory research methods. Statistical processing of the results was carried out by calculating the arithmetic mean (M), the error of the arithmetic mean (m) and presented as M ± m. The scientific novelty lies in the comparative assessment of the therapeutic effectiveness of the classical treatment regimen for postpartum paresis in cows in farms in the Krasnodar region with therapy that includes the drug “Kalfoton”, glucose solution and intra-udder infusion of milk. Results. We have studied the use of a complex drug that has shown good therapeutic efficacy. Currently, certain procedures used for coma in dairy cows can cause complications, which in turn will reduce the animal’s milk yield. According to the studied data, it is clear that © Казаринова non-compliance with the rules of keeping and violation of the cows’ diets play an important role in the etiology of postpartum paresis. In this disease, it is necessary to start therapy in a timely manner to obtain a favorable prognosis. As a result of the studies, it was found that the recovery of cows after a single use of “Kalfoton” was 100 %. An hour after the administration of the drug, the animals rose to their feet, they regained their appetite. Body temperature and sensitivity returned to normal. Hematological blood parameters rose to normal values within a few days after the treatment. In the second group, after a single course of treatment, recovery occurred in 80 % of the cows, although after therapy, purulent-catarrhal mastitis was observed in two cows.
