Abstract. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of seeding rates and treatment with the fungicide “Faraon” (EC, 0.5 L/ha) using high‑precision navigation and RTK (Real Time Kinematic) technology on the yield and disease resistance of the winter wheat variety Skipetr in the conditions of the Middle Urals. Methods. To achieve the goal, a two‑factor field experiment was conducted in two stages (2022–2023 and 2024–2025). Within the experiment, five seeding rate options were studied, and crop treatment with the fungicide was carried out using precision farming technologies that ensure uniform distribution of the product. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that, for the first time in the Middle Urals, the interaction between winter wheat seeding rates and fungicidal protection has been systematically studied using digital technologies for applying plant protection products. Results. It was found that the maximum yield (2.54–2.63 t/ha) is achieved when sowing 6 and 7 million viable seeds per hectare. These rates form the optimal plant nutrition area: in the summer‑autumn period – 15.6 and 13.7 cm²; in the spring‑summer period — 28.6–25.5 cm² (an increase of 11 %). The number of plants per 1 m² varies from 228 (at 6 million seeds) to 331 (at 7 million). Productivity is associated with the number of stems (348–432 stems/m²) and grain weight per spike (0.47–0.43 g), which resulted in performance variation in the range of 56–64 %. Fungicide treatment using navigation and RTK did not reduce the yield, while keeping the level of disease damage within 10 % of the economic threshold. The identified seeding rates (6–7 million seeds per hectare), combined with technologically advanced fungicide application, can be recommended to improve the productivity and resilience of winter wheat in the Middle Urals, ensuring yield preservation and efficient use of plant protection products.
