Abstract. Today, the agricultural industry faces ambitious goals to ensure food security and import substitution. Modern agriculture requires a transition to digital technologies to increase yields and reduce costs. Traditional methods of monitoring agrophytocenoses do not provide operational efficiency and spatial detail. Scientific novelty. For the first time, a comparative analysis of two leading digital platforms for creating digital twins and conducting monitoring work was conducted. The use of digital twins based on satellite data and digital databases allows for real-time assessment of crop conditions, forecasting crop development, and optimizing the application of fertilizers, crop protection products, irrigation, and soil cultivation. This is especially important in the context of import substitution, climate change, and the need for sustainable agriculture. Developing practical aspects of creating and using digital twins of fields is a popular and promising task for improving the efficiency of the agro-industrial complex. The purpose of this study is to explore the potential of using geographic information systems (GIS) in agricultural field monitoring, emphasizing the need for an integrated approach to processing and analyzing spatial data. Research methods: comparative analysis of the functional characteristics of the ExactFarming and Aksioma GIS platforms; evaluation of practical examples of each system's use; analysis of the synergies between the two approaches (combining convenience and speed with professional analytics and integration with state standards). Results. The paper examines the domestic solutions ExactFarming and the Aksioma GIS, demonstrating the potential of domestic developments in agricultural monitoring and land resource assessment. Particular attention is paid to the synergies between the two platforms: ExactFarming stands out for its ease of use and data processing speed, while the Aksioma GIS demonstrates advantages in professional analytics and integration with state standards, such as cadastral registration. The paper reveals that the combination of these two approaches can significantly improve the efficiency of agricultural monitoring, ensure sustainable agriculture, and reduce producer costs. Specific practical examples and an assessment of the advantages of each tool are provided.
