Variability of wheat yield and quality when its organs are treated with microelements in the Amur region

Abstract. The purpose of the study was to substantiate the efficiency of seed treatment with ammonium molybdate, and then vegetative plants of spring wheat with molybdenum or copper against the background of nitrogenphosphorus fertilizers in the conditions of the southern agricultural zone of the Amur Region. Methods. To process the obtained field data for a long-term period of the experiment, the dispersion analysis of the data was performed according to the method of B. A. Dospekhov in Microsoft Excel. Statistical analysis was carried out using the StatTech v. 2.8.8 program (developer – StatTech LLC, Russia). Results. High productivity and grain quality of the spring wheat variety DalGAU-1 were obtained against the background of 30 kg of active ingredient per 1 ha of nitrogen-phosphorus fertilizers during pre-sowing seed treatment, and then vegetative plants with ammonium molybdate. The yield increase from this technology of ammonium molybdate application, relative to the background of fertilizers, was 13.6%, relative to unfertilized plots 27.3 %. In years with different meteorological conditions, the variant showed an average variability of V = 10.7 % and the smallest yield variation range. With average variability and variation range, the 1000-grain weight increased by 13.3 % compared to the fertilizer background and by 21.4 % compared to the control. The natural weight of grain with insignificant variability was 9.9 % greater than against the fertilizer background and 10.6 % greater than in the control. The total vitreousness of grain, despite the large variation range and strong variability, exceeded the control variant by 18.4 % and the fertilizer background by 13.7 %. The positive average relationship between the 1000-grain weight and yield r = 0.346, the positive average relationship between the natural weight and yield r = 0.521, and the weak direct relationship between vitreousness and yield r = 0.271. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time the effectiveness of a complex technology has been proven: presowing seed treatment with ammonium molybdate in combination with the application of ammonium molybdate and copper chelate during the growing season as a top dressing against the background of nitrogen-phosphorus fertilizers contributes to an increase in yield and the formation of spring soft wheat seeds with improved technological properties.
