Abstract.  In the balance sheet experience service dogs under nursery conditions power Department city of Perm in the winter was fed dry food: «Royal Canin Club Energy H.E.» (complete feed for adult dogs with increased physical activity cost 220 RUB / kg), «Royal Canin Energy 4300» (high-calorie complete food for adult dogs during short, intense exertion (moderate physical activity) – 250 RUB / kg) and prepared food in terms of the stern cuisine from natural products. The purpose of the experiment is to identify the food that best meets the needs of dogs while saving budget funds for feeding. For the first time in the Perm region a comparative study of the use of high-energy ready-made dry food from the class «Royal Canin» in feeding service dogs was conducted. High efficiency of use of nutrients by dogs of a forage «Royal Canin Club Energy H.E.» is revealed that was confirmed by the increased average daily increase in live weight – 24 g at economy of money on feeding per forage 18 RUB, in comparison with animals on a forage «Royal Canin Energy 4300». Consumed dogs diet cat food «Royal Canin Energy 4300» in the second experimental group exceeding the rate of feeding of a fat content 2.5 times, phosphorus – by 3.48 %, vitamin A – 4.5 times, vitamin D – 3 times, based on the exchange of energy by 10.48 %, while metabolizable energy was higher than the control group by 12.74 % and the first pilot to 4.78 %, was used by the dogs is much worse than food «Royal Canin Club Energy H.E.», and the results of this experiment are not recommended for feeding dogs in conditions of captive maintenance. The prepared food due to the lack of energy nutrition was also digested worse, its further use in feeding dogs requires periodic analysis of nutrition to adjust the composition of the ingredients.
