Abstract. The need to increase the efficiency of using trucks in the context of modern economic challenges requires the improvement of methodological tools for identifying and justifying reserves for the growth of cargo turnover. The purpose of the study is to develop an expanded factor model and, based on it, to form a system of objective reserves for increasing the volume of transport work performed by the company’s trucks. Research methods include factor analysis of multiplicative models, chain substitution methods, and a computational and constructive approach to predicting performance indicators when varying the values of factor coefficients. As a result, an expanded factor model of the volume of cargo turnover is proposed, supplemented by the coefficient of use of technically ready-made vehicles in operation, which makes it possible to more accurately assess the impact of organizational and technical factors on the effectiveness of the transportation process. The scientific novelty lies in the systematization of cargo turnover growth reserves into a single hierarchical structure, including both absolute and relative factor indicators, and in the methodology for predicting the increase in the volume of work with an isolated and complex increase in the values of factor coefficients by 1 p. p. Results. Based on the factor analysis, the directions that have the greatest negative impact on cargo turnover (reduction of mileage utilization coefficients, load capacity, technical readiness) have been identified, and the potential for their improvement has been quantified. The proposed methodology made it possible to calculate the projected volume of cargo turnover under various scenarios, demonstrating that with a simultaneous increase in all coefficients included in the model by 1 p. p., the increase in annual productivity of one car reaches 13.4 %. The effectiveness of the proposed reserve system as a tool for substantiating management decisions aimed at eliminating “bottlenecks” and optimizing the operation of trucks in the future is proved.
