Abstract: Legal regulation in the field of veterinary medicine is carried out by the law “On veterinary” and other normative legal acts. In recent years, to the existing laws and regulations governing relations in the field of veterinary activities align technical regulations and administrative regulations. The article provides information on the adopted technical regulations of the Customs Union “On food safety”; “On the safety of meat and meat products”; “On the safety of milk and dairy products”, which estab- lishes the requirements for veterinary safety of agricultural raw materials live origin. Specially authorized body of the execu- tive power that legal regulation and governance in the field of veterinary medicine, is Ministry of Agriculture, State veterinary control (supervision) by the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor), included in the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. It shows a list of adopted Russian Ministry of Agriculture administrative regulations. Legal regulation in the field of veterinary medicine and veterinary practice is constantly being improved, but there are still enough problems. Today there are new circumstances relating to sanctions against Russia and import substitution in the market of agricultural products, raw materials and food here is not the last role for veterinary medicine.
