Abstract: As a new impulse to recovery of animal husbandry restriction on import of separate types of agricultural products, raw materials and the food which can be made in the country served. On the person is need of increase of volumes of the let-out agricultural production. Thus reorientation of branch to an innovative way of development will allow increasing economic efficiency of branch of animal husbandry. In article four types of innovations are offered: selection and genetic, production and technological, marketing, organizational. Special value has introduction of the first block of innovations, achievements of domestic and world selection. In this direction development of biological systems of animal husbandry with use of methods of genetic and cellular engineering that assumes creation and use of new types of transgene animals with the improved qualities of efficiency steady against diseases is rather new. To estimate the available potential of innovative development of cattle breeding in Sverdlovsk region and completely to use the available opportunities, SWOT analysis of innovative development of cattle breeding for this period of time was carried out. As a result SWOT analysis showed that one of the reasons interfering transition of branch to an innovative way of development is the low awareness on innovations, and also shortage of knowledge for their successful introduction at agricultural producers. Many heads of the agricultural organizations are ready to use innovations in the activity, but they don’t have enough knowledge for their effective development that reduces return from investments into innovations and lowers interest.
