Abstract: This paper presents data on the investigation of the meat sector of the Southern Urals. One of the promising areas of the domestic meat industry is the increase in the number of beef cattle. Chelyabinsk region is a leader in the country for growing beef cattle breeds. Develop own breeding base to the introduction of cattle embryo transfer technology. The region is noted a steady increase in the production of all kinds of meat. Meat industry Chelyabinsk region fully covers the population of different types of meat. One of the promising directions of increasing the number of highly productive beef cattle in the Chelyabinsk region is the introduction of the technology of embryo transfer in cattle. Cryopreservation of embryos provides long-term storage and the creation of the Bank of germ outstanding animals and animals are rare, but necessary for deep breeding. One of the aspects of transplantation is that in the future may receive animals need sex. This is possible when using young seed. In commercial herds embryo transfer it is possible to increase the output of calves due to the receipt of twins. An important factor in the development of the meat industry in the southern Urals is the state support.
