Abstract: Selenium intensely affects protein metabolism, especially in the exchange of sulfur amino acids, so its deficiency in cows not only affects the reproductive functions, but also directly related to the milk production of cows. Objective was to study the effect of mineral and organic forms of selenium on the reproductive performance of cows. Research task is to determine the actual chemical composition of the basic diet of forages, determine the content of selenium palatability of feed basic diet when fed different forms of selenium. To perform the tasks on a dairy farm “Paderin” FSUE PF “Poplars” was chosen 3 groups of cows on 10 goals each by the method of vapor-analogues with regard to age, productivity in the last lactation, the date fruitful insemination launch date. Experience was launched in the end of the lactation period with the transfer of cows in a group — the dry. The effect of mineral and organic additives forms of selenium to diets of lactating cows dead and their reproductive qualities. By diet I test group during the dry and lactation added — sodium selenite (20 mg per 1 head per day) with concentrates. To the diet of the experimental group II is a Sel-Plex at a dose of 2 g per head per day. There is a significant shortening of the length of service period in cows treated with the organic form of selenium. The duration of the service period, the cows of the experimental group is shorter by 72.5 days, lactation shorter duration of 106 days and less calving period of the day at 102.1 compared with a control group.

Keywords: deadwood and milking cows, selenium, productivity, reproduction, service period, lactation, economic efficiency.
