Abstract: The array of Russia’s large economic regions according to development level of farm households in them was given in this paper. It was done according to values of multi-dimensional average calculated on the base of plurality of farm household production activity parameters. The array of large economic regions is needed to define in state policy priorities for agriculture development of some areas of our country. Due to the array it was established that farm households function most successfully in North-Caucasian, Low Volga, Ural and West-Siberian economic regions. So in the conditions of limited funding the farm households of selected regions are needed state support in the first place, because it will have a great impact on their functioning efficiency. State support includes the implementation of existing and creation of new state aid programs for the development of peasant farms. It can be providing with grants, subsidies, assistance in obtaining land; effective state regulation of the food market in the country; encouraging collaboration and cooperation of peasant farms; creation of credit cooperatives in order to raise funds and carry out leasing operations; the organization of an effective system of crediting peasant farms, including an extensive network of public, commercial banks and specialized credit institutions; stimulation of commercial banks to service peasant farms; creation of a system of information and consulting support of peasant farms, consisting of information and consulting centers of the federal, regional and local levels.
