Аbstract. The purpose of the research is to analyze the performance of the food and processing industry in the Republic of Buryatia, as well as to develop a scientifically grounded model for its digital transformation aimed at enhancing the efficiency of enterprises and their adaptation to sanction conditions using modern managerial and technological solutions. The theoretical and methodological foundation of the study consists of the works of scholars dedicated to improving industrial efficiency. The research employs methods such as economic-statistical analysis to study trends and patterns in the industry, as well as expert assessments to determine the current state of the sector and develop recommendations for its improvement. The results of the research demonstrate that there are approximately 400 organizations of various ownership forms operating in the republic, forming a stable industry structure comprising nine key areas. Special attention is given to analyzing the production dynamics of major product types over the period from 2020 to 2024, where stable growth is noted in most categories, with exceptions in certain areas. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the necessity to adjust the development strategy and develop a comprehensive model for enhancing enterprise efficiency based on the analysis of adaptation mechanisms under sanction pressure and digitalization of key processes (logistics, quality control, supply chain management). The practical significance of the study is determined by the potential use of the results obtained in forming regional programs for the development of the food and processing industry.
