Traditional and modern export opportunities of the agricultural sector (on the example of the Tyumen region)

Abstract. The agriculture of the Tyumen region is dynamically developing both in the field of crop production and in the field of animal husbandry. This makes it possible to increase not only the food security of both the region and the country as a whole in providing the population with food and raw materials for other sectors of the economy, but also to increase the export potential of the region. The purpose of the study is to study the traditional and modern export opportunities of the agricultural sector of the Tyumen region. Tasks: 1) identify the historical export opportunities of the agro-industrial complex of the region; 2) to identify the dynamics and structure of the export potential of the modern agro-industrial complex of the region; 3) to determine the rating of the Tyumen region in the export of agricultural products of the Ural Federal District. To achieve this goal, data collected from various open sources of state authorities, the Federal State Statistics Service, as well as regulatory and legislative materials, data from the Department of Agriculture of the Tyumen region were used. The research methods were historical and historical-comparative, analytical, statistical-economic method, content analysis, rating analysis. The scientific novelty lies in the systematization of information about the agricultural export potential of the Tyumen region, the establishment of the rating place of the Tyumen region for the export of agricultural products in the Ural Federal District, the identification of points of growth of the agricultural export potential of the Tyumen region. Results. The historical aspects of the development of the export potential of the territories of the current Tyumen region are considered, an analytical study is conducted and an assessment of the scale, dynamics and structure of exports of agricultural products of the Tyumen region in physical and monetary terms is given at the present time, the period of coverage of individual studies has been since 2000. Based on the study of the export of the regions of the Ural Federal District, a rating analysis was carried out and the rating of the Tyumen region for the export of agricultural products was established. The points of growth of export opportunities of the Tyumen region are proposed.
